What is Codex Helper?
Section titled “What is Codex Helper?”Codex Helper is a Discord bot for Rise of Kingdoms alliances. It brings commander lookups, KvK timers, event and bundle info, healing and flag-cost calculators, activity and leveling, MGE signups, reminders, and more right into your server. A handful of commands are free; the game-data and alliance-management features are unlocked with a Patron subscription.
How do I set up the bot on my server?
Section titled “How do I set up the bot on my server?”- Subscribe on Patreon, then follow the link in the pinned post to invite Codex Helper to your server.
- Link your Discord account to Patreon using the link the bot DMs you, or at patreon.com/settings/apps.
- Run
/patreon verifyin any channel of the server you invited the bot to. - Use
/helpfor the full command list. To start configuring, run/channelor the various/(feature) setupcommands.

I subscribed, but the Patron commands don’t show up. What’s wrong?
Section titled “I subscribed, but the Patron commands don’t show up. What’s wrong?”Two things to check. First, run /patreon verify in the server (you need Administrator or Manage Server). Second, make sure your Discord account is linked to Patreon. After verifying, give Discord a minute to register the new commands; they sometimes take a moment to appear.
Which commands are free, and which need Patron?
Section titled “Which commands are free, and which need Patron?”Free in any server: Profile Picture, Mail Templates, Translator, Healing Calculator, Activity Leaderboards, Stat Docks, and Leveling. Everything else (Commander Info, Meta Pairings, Event and Bundle Info, Flag Cost, Timers, Ark of Osiris, MGE Signups, Event Calendar, Reminders, and the server config tools) needs an active Patron subscription.
Do higher Patreon tiers unlock more features?
Section titled “Do higher Patreon tiers unlock more features?”No. The only tier you need is the lowest ($5 USD/month), and it unlocks every Patron feature. The higher tiers are just a way to give The King’s Codex extra support.
Can I use the bot in more than one server?
Section titled “Can I use the bot in more than one server?”Yes. Your subscription is tied to you, not to a single server. As long as you have Administrator or Manage Server in a server, you can add the bot there and run /patreon verify to activate it.
Do I have to be a server admin to use the bot?
Section titled “Do I have to be a server admin to use the bot?”For free commands, no, anyone can use them. Setup and admin commands need Administrator or Manage Server, but you can give a trusted member the Bot Admin role with /config so they can manage the bot without full server admin.
Can I manage the bot outside of Discord?
Section titled “Can I manage the bot outside of Discord?”Yes, for some features. The dashboard lets you configure things from the web, and mail templates are built on the Mail Generator.
