Support

Need a hand with Codex Helper? Here is how to get help and fix the most common issues.

The fastest way to reach us is the support Discord.

  • Join The King’s Codex: discord.gg/kingscodex
  • Open a support ticket there to ask a question, report a bug, or request a feature.

To help us help you, include your server name, your server ID, the command you ran, and a screenshot of what happened.

  1. Desktop: right click your server icon on the left and choose Copy Server ID. Mobile: tap your server name at the top, then scroll down and tap Copy ID.
  2. No Copy ID option? Turn on Developer Mode first, then try again:
    • Desktop: open User Settings, go to Advanced, and turn on Developer Mode.
    • Mobile: open your Discord settings (tap your avatar), go to Advanced, and turn on Developer Mode.

Patron commands register for your server the moment you run /patreon verify, so they can take a few seconds to appear. Make sure:

  1. Your Patreon subscription is active.
  2. Your Discord account is linked to Patreon at patreon.com/settings/apps.
  3. You ran /patreon verify in the server, with Manage Server or Administrator.

If they still do not appear, wait a moment, then fully close and reopen Discord. See Setup for the full flow.

A Patron command will not run in a channel

Section titled “A Patron command will not run in a channel”

Patron commands only work in the channels you allow. An admin sets these with /channel, and can review all current settings with /config. If no channel is allowed for that command group yet, the command will not run anywhere until one is added.

The bot cannot assign roles or create channels

Section titled “The bot cannot assign roles or create channels”

This is almost always a permissions issue. Confirm Codex Helper has the permissions it needs (granting Administrator is simplest), and that its role sits above any roles it needs to assign. See Setup.

Features that take a date and time expect UTC. Double check the format the command asks for and that you used UTC, not your local time.
